Mallory spent six years grooming at a chain salon before opening Playful Paws in 2021 — tired of ten-minute intake slots, cage dryers left running unattended, and dogs who arrived calm and left shaking.

The studio was built backwards from that one line: no more than one appointment per room at a time, no dryer a groomer isn't standing next to, and a price you agree to before any clipper touches fur. It's slower. It's also the only way Mallory would let her own dog go through it.
